Location
Tropical rainforests are mostly found near the equator. These biomes are common in Asia, Africa, South America, Central America, and on many of the Pacific Islands. Brazil hosts over 60% these rainforests. Others are found in Guiana, Surinam, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador and Guyana. The largest rainforest biome in the world is the Amazon Basin; its about 23 million square miles.
